Osteopathy

Medical and Remedial Massage

With over 25 years experience as a body work therapist, Tracy’s approach is both holistic and medical. She is particularly well known for her deep tissue massage having worked in professional football rehabilitation for several years. Tracy has a passionate belief in the healing power of touch, and has developed highly sensitive “hands on” palpation skills, working intuitively with soft and deep touch therapies to optimise body and mind. As well as hands on therapy a combination of functional exercise rehabilitation, ultrasound, acupuncture (dry needling) and teaching the Mattes method of active isolated stretching (AIS) are used to aid recovery from injuries and trauma, to prepare for major sporting events or simply to keep you in

Osteopathy: with or without GP referral

Osteopathy is a system of primary healthcare that uses an established, recognised system of diagnosis and treatment with its main emphasis is on the structural integrity of the body. It is mainly a hands-on therapy that can be administered to most Musculo-skeletal problems for pain prevention and its management, postural correction, and rehabilitation.

Osteopathy is a catalyst for healing using the body’s innate and profound ability to maintain and heal itself. Osteopathy is soundly based on scientific principles of anatomy, physiology and pathology and uses many of the diagnostic procedures used in conventional medical assessment and diagnosis to detect tissue pathology and damaged or strained parts of the body. Its main strength lies in the unique way the patient is assessed from a mechanical, functional and postural standpoint and the manual methods of treatment thus alleviating pain in tissues such as ligaments, nerves, muscles and joints.

Osteopaths are well known for the treatment of back and neck injuries, and routinely treat conditions such as:

  • Whiplash
  • Sports injuries (minor)
  • Arthritic pain
  • And much more...

The latest research, current thinking and appropriate therapy mainly hands-on (we may use ultrasound, interferential, acupuncture, strapping) is discussed with you this may be combined with other effective strategies which may include guidance on nutrition, lifestyle, environmental, health issues, postural and ergonomic advice, depending on what will be best to aid your recovery and reduce your pain for you to remain symptom free. Osteopathy treats the person and not just the symptoms. See FAQS

  • 1st session 60 minutes £80
  • 1st session 45 minutes £65

  • Thereafter 45 minutes £65
