Tracy became interested in sleep problems whilst completing her degree in homeopathy, she researched the relationship of children with sleep problems and queried if there was a relationship of ADHD being misdiagnosed. Research suggested there was a relationship with children being diagnosed with ADHD due to being hyperactive through lack of sleep, losing concentration, affecting children’s studies and thus grades.
Having attended a sleep workshop for adults with Dr. Meadows, everyone had a sleep story, Tracy came away more compelled to study this area in more depth for both adults and children and combine her knowledge and experience of homeopathy in physical and emotional trauma, shock and anxiety relating to the cause of chronic unresolved sleep problems, combining it with cranial and structural osteopathy.
Tracy combines her knowledge and experience of cranial osteopathy, homeopathy to treat physical and emotional trauma, shock and anxiety relating to the cause of chronic unresolved sleep problems to promote and resolve issues using a holistic integrated approach which may include mindfulness, nutrition advice, acupuncture, aromatherapy amongst other treatments.
Whilst training over a period of 3 years in pediatric osteopathy, Tracy gained clinical experience attending a variety of clinics (breast feeding, birth trauma, special needs, amongst others), observation on follow up treatment with cranial osteopathy revealed anecdotal reports from parents suggesting an improvement in their babies and toddler sleep story. In 2017 Tracy will open a dedicated mums and babies weekend clinic treating a variety of conditions with a special interest in sleep related issues and disorders, for babies, children and adults offering a holistic approach with the appropriate clinical care. It will be a results driven practice with clinical auditing to monitor patient satisfaction and outcome of treatment.
